Tuna Canapés (Crostini di Tonno)

4/5 servings

Preparation

  1. Cube the butter and put in food processor with the tuna, capers, and mayonnaise
  2. Mix for about a minute
  3. Cut the loaf of bread into about 20 slices
  4. Spread mixture on each slice and serve

I make this quite frequently. It’s easy, delicious, and, in addition to being a starter, I often serve it with boiled meat or roast beef. When my family is over for dinner last minute or when dinner is missing a little something, this tuna spread is a sure thing. I quickly get the food processor out and get started… and the meal is suddenly “more plentiful”. My daughter especially likes this simple recipe. While she happily dips into the dollop of the spread on her plate, I, sitting right next to her, take it all in and enjoy my whole family. What a wonderful scene this tuna spread makes!
